Welcome to the McMillan PTA website! The purpose of the PTA is to support and enhance McMillan Junior High School by providing services for school functions, engage in fundraising projects, encourage parent, teacher, and community involvement, and cooperate with school administration in providing educational opportunities. Funds that are raised by the PTA are used to purchase items and equipment that would not otherwise be provided.

🏈 McMillan PTA is excited to announce the 4th annual Powder Puff Football Game. 🏈
All girl participants will take the field as football players, while the boy participants hype them up and spread some Marauder school spirit as their Cheerleaders! 📣
Game: Friday, May 16th
Time: During school; in the morning to be determined
Where: McMillan Jr. High-located on school campus football field
Cost: Free to Play & Free Shirt

Our next Kona Ice Day is May 8th! Don’t forget to send your kids with money! It’s a fun treat for them, and a portion of the sales are donated back to the school. 🍧❤️ During 7th and 8th grade lunch and privilege times, the truck will be at McMillan. If your student purchased the color change cup, they can bring it back for $4 refills. They take cash, debit, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

McMillan Field Day will be Monday, May 19th! PTA will be providing FREE popcorn, water and ice pops for each student as well as several inflatables. An ice cream truck will be available for purchase. We would love for volunteers to help make the day extra fun for students.

We LOVE parent volunteers! We have many fun events PTA will be hosting this year for our Marauders but we need YOUR help! Whether it is donating your time, donating items, or working on projects from your home, there are different ways you can volunteer to help make events a success. Don’t have time to be at the school, but still want to help? Your talents can still be used in various other ways! Please submit the Google Form, putting a check by the events that you would be interested in receiving more information about or would be interested in helping us with. Thank you so much for your support!

Anyone can become a member of the PTA? We encourage everyone to become active members of the PTA including parents, teachers, students, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, community members, and friends!
The TX PTA website allows you to choose multiple members (yourself and student) for McMillan PTA. JoinPTA.org

In the front office, there are membership envelopes. Add $9 cash to the envelope and put it in the PTA mailbox.
While we love and encourage parent volunteers, however it is NOT required with your membership! Don’t have time to be at the school, but still want to help? Your talents can still be used in various other ways! Be sure to checkout our volunteer opportunities that work within your availability and interests.

APEX Fundraiser: October 1-October 11th

Mark your calendars for our McMillan APEX Fundraiser! During the Apex fundraiser, students will be challenged to get donations from family and friends to help our school. We'll end the 2-week fundraiser with a celebratory event called "The Apex Games" for students who participate in the fundraiser (think inflatables, games, fun raffle prizes, snacks, loud music, high energy, and FUN!)

Reflections Program
Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. This is an annual art contest every fall.

WORLD WEAR PROJECT: We have partnered with World Wear Project to host a textile recycle bin on campus! Your contributions of items including clothing, shoes, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals, will be recycled as secondhand clothing, processed into wiping rags or converted into fiber. Not only will you be doing a good thing for the environment by keeping these items out of landfills, you will also be helping to raise funds for our school! McMillan receives $0.15 for every pound we donate! Drop items off anytime in the bin located in the school parking lot. If your items do not fit in the bin, please do not leave anything on the ground outside of the bin.
