MCMILLAN PTA WEBSITE!

Welcome to the McMillan PTA website! The purpose of the PTA is to support and enhance McMillan Junior High School by providing services for school functions, engage in fundraising projects, encourage parent, teacher, and community involvement, and cooperate with school administration in providing educational opportunities. Funds that are raised by the PTA are used to purchase items and equipment that would not otherwise be provided.

McMillan PTA Student Membership

By joining the McMillan PTA, our students are taking an active role in their education and learning to be leaders and have a voice in their very own school. Each student member will receive several perks throughout the school year, with their $10 membership. www.joinpta.org

Back to School SPLASH BASH - Sept 6 from 6-8pm

Make plans to attend the Back-to-School Splash Bash in the middle parking lot between Davis and McMillan on September 6th from 6-8pm. Hosted by the Davis & McMillan PTAs and it's a FREE event for the whole family. We will have multiple water slides (t-shirts must be worn over swimsuits or with swim shorts), music, games, and more!

WHS AFJROTC will be on-site selling hamburger/hot dog meal deals and more! Towels and lawn chairs are recommended. This is a FAMILY event, so all members of the family are invited to join us!!!

Kona Ice Day - Sept 4th

Our next Kona Ice Day is Friday, Sept 4th! Don't forget to bring cash/card to purchase during privilege. A portion of sales are donated back to the school and it's a nice cool treat on a hot day.

Panda Express Spirit Night - Sept 10 ALL DAY

Skip the Regular Lunch or Dinner and Eat Pizza for McMillan! Dine in or get takeout at Panda Express in Wylie and support McMillan Jr. High PTA.

We’re calling on businesses, crafters, and food sellers. This is your chance to set up shop and connect with the community!

This is also open to anyone looking to clean out their house getting ready for the holidays... or shop for the holidays!

We LOVE parent volunteers! We have many fun events PTA will be hosting this year for our Marauders but we need YOUR help! Whether it is donating your time, donating items, or working on projects from your home, there are different ways you can volunteer to help make events a success. Don’t have time to be at the school, but still want to help? Your talents can still be used in various other ways! Please submit the Google Form, putting a check by the events that you would be interested in receiving more information about or would be interested in helping us with. Reflections Art Program - Due Nov 8

Our Reflections Art Program kicks off this week! "I Belong" is the theme for 2025-2026!

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Read the Program Rules to ensure their art meets the requirements for each art category. View the rules and submit entries on our website below. Paper copies are also available in the front office. Entry deadline is November 8th.

How to join McMillan PTA

Anyone can become a member of the PTA? We encourage everyone to become active members of the PTA including parents, teachers, students, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, community members, and friends!

While we love and encourage parent volunteers, however it is NOT required with your membership! Don’t have time to be at the school, but still want to help? Your talents can still be used in various other ways! Be sure to checkout our volunteer opportunities that work within your availability and interests.

Parent Volunteers

If you are interested in helping with any program or event at McMillan, please see the sign up. We have Privilege Concessions (Fridays) or Kona Ice truck (Thursday/Friday) as well as several other events throughout the year.

APEX Fundraiser: Sept 29 - October 10th

Mark your calendars for our McMillan APEX Fundraiser! During the Apex fundraiser, students will be challenged to get donations from family and friends to help our school. We'll end the 2-week fundraiser with a celebratory event called "The Apex Games" for students who participate in the fundraiser (think inflatables, games, fun raffle prizes, snacks, loud music, high energy, and FUN!)

Athletic Meals

Athletes interested in having dinner delivered before the big games, can sign up for Chick-Fil-A to be delivered.

WORLD WEAR PROJECT: We have partnered with World Wear Project to host a textile recycle bin on campus! Your contributions of items including clothing, shoes, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals, will be recycled as secondhand clothing, processed into wiping rags or converted into fiber. Not only will you be doing a good thing for the environment by keeping these items out of landfills, you will also be helping to raise funds for our school! McMillan receives $0.15 for every pound we donate! Drop items off anytime in the bin located in the school parking lot. If your items do not fit in the bin, please do not leave anything on the ground outside of the bin.
